Senior Residential Childcare Worker – Durham

We’re delighted to support a new provider of therapeutic Children’s Residential Services recruit for a Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join their 4 bed home in the North Durham area . This is a beautiful home and furnished to a high standard.
The company has successfully established themselves and recruited their senior staff team. They are committed to providing the highest levels of care to children who have experienced trauma and pride themselves on their supportive working culture. They are a delight to work with and have a supportive and experienced senior management team.
Duties include
- Provide support for the children living in the home
- Manage a team of residential workers, providing support and supervision
- Building effective working relationships with the young people, other staff members, internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with care planning and assessment
- Ensure all records are up to date
- Assist the children and young people with emotional support and with practical tasks
- Work on a shift pattern to ensure 24/7 cover including lates, earlies, sleep ins (additional payment provided)
You will have
- Previous Residential Support Work experience within a therapeutic Children’s Home setting
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Excellent communication skills
- Good administration skills
- Commitment to the highest levels of childcare practice
- Flexibility to work the variety of shifts required
- Full UK Driving License
In return you will receive
- Annual Salary dependent on experience with opportunity to earn up to 33k including sleep ins
- Rotas provided on a 3 weekly basis a month in advance
- Generous additional allowance for sleep ins
