Senior Residential Childcare Worker – Cramlington

We’re delighted to support an established provider of therapeutic Children’s Residential Services recruit for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join their 2 bed home near Cramlington. This is a beautiful home that has been fully refurbished home and in a stunning rural setting.
The company has a fantastic reputation for providing the highest levels of care to children who have experienced trauma and pride themselves on their supportive working culture. This organisations provide psychologists to support the children and staff and provides a truly nurturing and therapeutic environment for children to thrive and grow.
Duties include
- Provide support and management of Residential Support Workers
- Building effective working relationships with the young people, other staff members, internal and external stakeholders
- Lead on care planning and assessment
- Ensure all records are up to date
- Assist the children and young people with emotional support and with practical tasks
- Work on a shift pattern to ensure 24/7 cover including lates, earlies, sleep ins and waking nights (additional payment provided)
You will have
- Previous Senior Residential Support Work experience within a therapeutic Children’s Home setting
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Excellent communication skills
- Good administration skills
- Committment to the highest levels of childcare practice
- Flexibility to work the variety of shifts required
