Senior Residential Childcare Worker

We’re delighted to support a market leader of therapeutic Children’s Residential Services recruit for a Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join their 2 bed home in the Durham area . This is a beautiful home set is a stunning location and furnished to a high standard. This home is rated as good with outstanding leadership and management.

Duties include

• Provide support for the children living in the home
• Manage a team of residential workers, providing support and supervision
• Building effective working relationships with the young people, other staff members, internal and external stakeholders
• Assisting with care planning and assessment
• Ensure all records are up to date
• Assist the children and young people with emotional support and with practical tasks
• Work on a shift pattern to ensure 24/7 cover including lates, earlies, sleep ins (additional payment provided)

You will have

• Previous Residential Support Work experience within a therapeutic Children’s Home setting
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
• Excellent communication skills
• Good administration skills
• Commitment to the highest levels of childcare practice
• Flexibility to work the variety of shifts required
• Full UK Driving License
