Children’s Home Manager – Teesside
Starling Recruitment are delighted to support an innovative and well respected national provider of children’s residential services recruit for a Registered Manager. This will be to run an established, specialised trauma informed service for up to 4 young people. They are are looking for a dedicated Manager who wishes to create a nurturing home for children who have experienced trauma to take over from the existing Manager who has been promoted.
This company offer a truly therapeutic approach with internal teams to support the residential services. They are committed to providing positive experiences for their young people to support their individual interests. The home itself is beautiful and is currently under refurbishment to a high standard. It’s set in a stunning rural location.
Ideally the new Registered Manager will be able to have a period of handover to get to know the staff team and young people. The successful candidate will have full autonomy over the home and support from their senior management team..
Duties include:
- Staff management
- Building effective working relationships with other relevant professionals and families
- Care planning
- Full responsible for Ofsted requirements
- Adherence and implementing company policy and procedure
You will have
- Previous management experience within any residential childcare setting
- Ideally NVQ 5 or desire to work towards it
- Desire to create a stable, happy and nurturing home
- Understanding of the various therapeutic approaches to childcare
In return you will receive a salary up to £50k plus performance related bonus. This organisation prides itself on its supportive culture for staff and you will receive regular supervision from the experienced senior management team as well as peer support.
