Children’s Home Manager – New Home South Tyneside

Starling Recruitment are delighted to support a committed new provider of children’s residential services recruit for a Registered Manager to open their first home. This will be to manage a beautiful 2 bed home in the South Tyneside area to create a nurturing home for children from age 5 who have experienced trauma.

This company have invested significantly into staffing for the home and have an experienced Deputy Manager, RI and Consultant Advisor in place to support the Registered Manager. They have a truly therapeutic approach and are committed to providing positive experiences for their young people to support individual interests. The home has been thoughtfully redesigned and is decorated to a high standard.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Manager to be fully supported in their role and ensure this home runs to their high standards. The successful candidate will have full autonomy over the home and support to ensure success. This is a fantastic opportunity to establish a brand new home and create a happy home.

Duties include:

  • Staff management
  • Building effective working relationships with other relevant professionals and families
  • Care planning
  • Responsibility for Ofsted requirements
  • Adherence and implementing company policy and procedure

You will have

  • Previous children’s residential management experience
  • NVQ 5 Leadership & Management
  • Desire to create a stable, happy and nurturing home
  • Central administration support
  • Understanding of the various therapeutic approaches to childcare
  • Detailed knowledge of ofsted requirements
