Children’s Home Manager – Gateshead
Starling Recruitment are delighted to support an innovative and well respected national provider of children’s residential services recruit for a Registered Manager. This will be to run another brand new service for 4 children to add to their existing 3 homes in the region. This home will be in the Gateshead area and they are looking for a dedicated Manager who wishes to create a nurturing home for children who have experienced trauma.
This company offer a truly therapeutic approach and are committed to providing positive experiences for their young people to support their individual interests. The home itself is beautiful and is currently under refurbishment to a high standard. It’s set in a stunning rural location.
They are ideally looking for the new Registered Manager to be involved from the very start to develop the home from scratch with support from the experienced senior management team. The successful candidate will have full autonomy over the home and support from their psychology team and senior management team to ensure that they choose appropriate referrals for the home to complement the needs of the other children who will be living there.
Duties include:
- Staff management
- Building effective working relationships with other relevant professionals and families
- Care planning
- Full responsible for Ofsted requirements
- Adherence and implementing company policy and procedure
You will have
- Previous management experience within any residential childcare setting
- Ideally NVQ 5 or desire to work towards it
- Desire to create a stable, happy and nurturing home
- Central administration support
- Understanding of the various therapeutic approaches to childcare
In return you will receive a salary up to £48k per annum depending on experience. This organisation prides itself on its supportive culture for staff and you will receive regular supervision from the experienced senior management team as well as peer support.
