Registered Manager – Edge of Care Home

Starling Recruitment are delighted to support a well respected Local Authority provider of children’s residential services recruit for a Registered Manager. This will be to run their new Edge of Care service providing family support and short breaks to young people on the edge of the care system.  This will provide early intervention to work in conjunction with the wider multidisciplinary edge of care team to prevent entry into the care system.  They are are looking for a dedicated Manager who wishes to create a nurturing home for young people and children.

The home itself is beautiful and is currently under refurbishment to a high standard. It’s set in a stunning rural location.

Ideally the new Registered Manager will be involved from the start and the successful candidate will recruit their full staff team.  They will have support from the experienced senior management team..

Duties include:

  • Staff management
  • Building effective working relationships with other relevant professionals and families
  • Care planning
  • Full responsible for Ofsted requirements
  • Adherence and implementing company policy and procedure

You will have

  • Previous management experience within any residential childcare setting
  • Ideally NVQ 5 or desire to work towards it
  • Desire to create a stable, happy and nurturing home
  • Understanding of the various therapeutic approaches to childcare

In return you will receive a salary up to £50k plus. This is a great opportunity to utilise your skills working with children to create an exceptional home and would suit an experienced Manager ready for a move to implement change for children and their families.
